The beginning of this video was shot for Pat Olifant, the most syndicated person in the world (first person to do the political cartoons in newspapers). He was originally from Austrailia, then moved to Denver where he started his work for the newspaper there. He unveiled his first sculptured statue in Austin, Texas where I first met him, and was later invited to shoot some pictures and video of his second unveiling in San Marcos, Texas (where the snippet was shot). The day before the unveiling, sometime after a call I placed to him, he broke his foot and was unable to make it to the unveiling. Another thing you should know is that the guy shouting the director cues is Bill Witliff, coinsidentally one of Olifant's friends, and was the screenwriter for the Perfect Storm, hence the cues coming from him as opposed to someone else. His friends decided to shoot this small spoof to "criticize the critic" so to speak to give him (Olifant) a little memory of the unveiling that he missed.
